We have prepared this Privacy Policy (version dated August 25, 2022) to explain to you, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and applicable national laws, which personal data (hereinafter “data”) we, as the data controller—and the data processors we have commissioned (e.g. service providers) — process, will process in the future, and what legal options you have. The terms used are to be understood as gender-neutral.
The security and strictly confidential handling of your data are top priorities at AMERING. For this reason, we use only the most advanced security standards to protect your data. Furthermore, we process your data exclusively in accordance with the aforementioned legal provisions.
1.2 Data Controller
The operator of this website and thus the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data is AMERING Salzkammergut Eiprodukte GmbH.
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data processed by us within the company and to all personal data processed by companies we have commissioned (processors). By “personal data,” we mean information as defined in Article 4(1) of the GDPR, such as a person’s name, email address, and mailing address. The processing of personal data enables us to offer and bill for our services and products, whether online or offline. The scope of this Privacy Policy covers only this website. Should we enter into legal relationships with you outside of this website, we will inform you separately if necessary.
In the following privacy policy, we provide you with transparent information regarding the legal principles and regulations—that is, the legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation—that allow us to process personal data.
With regard to EU law, we refer to REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of April 27, 2016. You can, of course, read this EU General Data Protection Regulation online on EUR-Lex, the portal for EU law, at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/DE/ALL/?uri=celex%3A32016R0679.
We process your data only if at least one of the following conditions applies:
In addition to the EU Regulation, national laws also apply: In Austria, this is the Federal Act on the Protection of Natural Persons with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data (Data Protection Act), or DSG for short.
To protect personal data, we have implemented both technical and organizational measures. Wherever possible, we encrypt or pseudonymize personal data. In this way, we do everything within our power to make it as difficult as possible for third parties to infer personal information from our data.
Article 25 of the GDPR refers to “data protection by design and by default,” meaning that security must always be considered and appropriate measures implemented for both software (e.g., forms) and hardware (e.g., access to the server room). In the following, we will discuss specific measures where necessary.
We use HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) to transmit data over the Internet in a way that is secure against eavesdropping.
This means that the entire transmission of all data from your browser to our web server is secured—no one can “eavesdrop.”
In doing so, we have introduced an additional layer of security and comply with data protection through technology design (Article 25(1) of the GDPR). By using TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission over the Internet, we can ensure the protection of confidential data.
You can recognize the use of this data transmission security by the use of the https scheme (instead of http) as part of our web address.
When you contact us via email or an online form, we may process your personal data. This data is processed to handle and address your inquiry and the related business transaction. The data is stored for as long as necessary or as required by law.
Data Subjects
The processes described above apply to anyone who contacts us via the communication channels we provide.
When you communicate with us via email, data may be stored on the respective device (computer, laptop, smartphone, etc.) and will also be stored on the email server.
Online Forms
If you communicate with us via an online form, data is stored on our web server and may be forwarded to one of our email addresses. The data is deleted as soon as legal requirements permit.
What are cookies?
Our website uses HTTP cookies. Cookies store certain user data about you, such as your language or personal page settings. When you visit our site again, your browser sends this “user-specific” information back to our site. Thanks to cookies, our website recognizes you and provides you with the settings you are accustomed to.
Usually, when you visit a website for the first time, you are asked which of these types of cookies you would like to allow. And, of course, this decision is also stored in a cookie.
If you’d like to learn more about cookies and don’t mind reading technical documentation, we recommend https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6265, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Request for Comments titled “HTTP State Management Mechanism.”
What data is processed?
Right to Object – How Can I Delete Cookies?
You decide for yourself how and whether you want to use cookies. Regardless of which service or website the cookies come from, you always have the option to delete, disable, or allow only certain cookies. For example, you can block third-party cookies but allow all other cookies.
If you want to see which cookies have been stored in your browser, or if you want to change or delete cookie settings, you can find these options in your browser settings.
If you generally do not want to have cookies, you can set your browser to always notify you when a cookie is about to be set. This allows you to decide for each individual cookie whether to allow it or not. The procedure varies depending on the browser. It’s best to search for instructions on Google using the search terms “delete cookies Chrome” or “disable cookies Chrome” if you’re using the Chrome browser.
Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing
If you apply for a position using our application form, via email (bewerbung@eiprodukte.at), through platforms operated by third parties (e.g., www.karriere.at), or through recruitment agencies commissioned by us, we process the data you provide (e.g., from your resume, submitted employment references, the application questionnaire, the job interview, etc.) for the purpose of the selection process based on your consent.
By submitting or sending your application documents, you therefore consent to the processing of personal data such as your name, title, date of birth, home address, phone number, email address, education, work experience, salary expectations, and any data and images contained in the cover letter, resume, employment references, or other submitted or transmitted documents may be processed for the purpose of inclusion in our company’s applicant database.
Data Transfer
Your data will be treated with the utmost confidentiality during the application process and will not, as a rule, be disclosed to third parties. Exceptions to this include service providers we have engaged to assist us with the technical provision and maintenance of our IT systems. These service providers process personal data exclusively on our behalf and on the basis of a data processing agreement in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR
Any further disclosure of your personal data during the application process will only occur in exceptional cases and with your express consent, or if it is necessary to fulfill legal obligations (e.g., to clarify eligibility for a targeted job subsidy in advance). Possible recipients for this include, in particular:
Data Retention Period
The data provided will be stored in our applicant database for the duration of the selection process for the purpose of processing your application. In addition, in the event of a rejection, the necessary data will generally remain stored for a further six months in accordance with the provisions of the Equal Treatment Act. In the event of legal proceedings, data relevant to the proceedings will be retained until the proceedings are legally concluded. Once the applicable retention periods have expired, your data will be deleted, unless you give us your consent for longer-term storage for record-keeping purposes regarding future job openings.
Data processing outside the EU/EEA
Some data, such as applicant data submitted via recruiting platforms, is processed at least in part outside the EU or the EEA. The appropriate level of protection is derived from the provisions of the GDPR (in particular Articles 45–48).
Your Rights
You have the following rights under data protection law: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. Please contact us regarding these rights. You may revoke any consent you have given at any time with future effect.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection laws or that your data protection rights have been infringed in any other way, you have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority.
